Okay, so the numbers are in and according to CNN, Barack Obama won 364 Electoral Votes and John McCain won 163 Electoral Votes.

In terms of Popularity, Obama was 53% and McCain was 46%.

It's sad to see that some Propositions were passed such as the ones that forbid Gay people to get married. Sigh, I wish that people would just let Gay people marry. I don't get why we can't change the so-called definition of marriage. Oh well...it will take some more time, I guess. Also, so far the polls in Washington are in favour of Doctor-Assissted suicide. Are you kidding me? Is that really safe? Then why is it termed illegal to commit suicide on your own but it will soon be an option to have a doctor "pull the plug on you"? I'm quite confused.

I'm not quite certain, but CNN.com wrote an article how the Voter Turn-out was around 60%. That seems lower than what people were predicting, so I guess I'll write again when I find out for sure.

I can't believe I've had this blog for 5 years now. Too bad I don't write in it anymore...oh well maybe I'll find more time soon.

HISTORY has been made!

For the first time ever, an African-American has been elected President of the United States of America!

Barack Obama won ~ 349 Electoral Votes and John McCain had ~ 163 Electoral Votes (According to CNN at the time of this post).

Not only that, but the Democrats are back in Power! Maybe soon Canada will shift back towards the Liberal Party...here's hoping!

Also, I'm proud of the Americans for exercising their right to vote. I don't know the number yet, but I'm sure it'll be a VERY high percentage! Too bad only 58% of Canadians (one of the lowest records) came out to vote back in October.

Take this test!
Decadent, tasty, and just a bit sinful (and we aren't just talking about the cake!), you should definitely get fork-deep in a delicious red velvet cake. Who doesn't love that idea? It's true that many people haven't tried it, but who better than you to introduce them to this truly tasty dessert? Though it's an especially popular dessert in the South, everyone is a potential fan, right?

We know you don't always take the biggest risks, but this is your chance to try something new. So leave those boring vanilla cakes and safe bets to the people who aren't looking for a little excitement in their lives, and turn on the color tonight! We guarantee you'll fall in love.

Kaphas tend to have a broad frame, and are generally overweight. Characteristically Kapha skin tends to be oily, soft and pale, and it burns when over-exposed. Kapha hair is generally oily, wavy, and very thick. The eyes are typically big and bright, and unusually dark or blue. The nails are strong and square. When a Kapha is in balance they tend to be calm, forgiving, and contemplative. They have the greatest potential compared to other types to be a nurturing force in the lives of those around them and for the planet at large. When a Kapha is present, they usually add warmth and affection to the home and family environment.

Erratic eaters tend to have erratic schedules on the whole, and tend to ingest their biggest meals, and heartiest snacks during the evening and nighttime hours. While the evening meal is what they focus most on — and sometimes it can occupy much of their night — how much they eat and when they eat their meals varies day to day. Eating three square meals a day is not their style. Instead, they're the type to skip breakfast or grab something small. They also eat lunch at erratic times as well. One day they may eat a good meal at noon, while the next they might grab a handful of crackers at 4pm with dinner at 6pm.

Professions in the fields of math and science involve using analytical thought. That is, most jobs in these areas require thinking deeply and applying skills to solve a particular problem. Despite popular belief, most people in math and science are imaginative types who enjoy creating a new world of information and possibilities. To people in this career area, nothing is more exciting than to think about "what if."

Gotta love those Hollywood Whores!!

Lindsay Lohan apparently tried to order a vodka October 19th
at the Viceroy hotel in Los Angeles while out with friends, but she was refused
by staff. A source told Life & Style magazine, “She was fine at first, but
it was obviously too soon for her to be around people who were drinking, because
she later asked the server for a vodka. But her people had called ahead and
servers were told not to give in no matter how often Lindsay asked for alcohol.”
Although Lohan’s publicist denies the incident, a guest at the Viceroy, who
overheard the exchange between the actress and a waitress, told the publication,
“I heard the waitress say that she was sorry but she wasn’t allowed to serve
her. Lindsay walked out soon after, looking embarrassed.” Meanwhile, Lohan was
photographed last night with extremely swollen lips. Not a good
look for the recovering addict.

Lance Armstrong, 36, and Ashley
Olsen
, 21, appear to be in a relationship. Earlier this week, they were seen
“making out,” with tiny little Ashley sitting on the bicyclist’s lap at Gramercy
Park Hotel’s Rose Bar in Manhattan, according to pagesix.com. The next night,
they were spotted enjoying a romantic dinner at NYC’s Waverly Inn. Olsen tends
to go for (much) older men. Armstrong’s last girlfriend was Sheryl Crow, whom he
dumped after she helped him get through his frightening battle with cancer.
According to Crow, when she in turn had a cancer scare, he didn’t even return
her calls. Best of luck, Ashley.

NAS-TAY!!

Lance Armstrong and Ashley Olsen appear to be
getting friendly: The unlikely twosome have met up at least twice this week
while the former Tour de France champ is in town for the New York Marathon,
sources tell PEOPLE. The pair first shared a special moment on Monday night,
getting close at the Rose Bar inside the Gramercy Park Hotel. (The rendezvous
was
well-documented
in New York's newspapers
on Wednesday.) An observer tells PEOPLE: "Lance was
hanging with her, definitely. [Olsen] was very flirtatious, and was sitting on
his lap." Another source said Olsen was with a group and "hanging out, having a
good time." Armstrong, 36, and Olsen, 21, reunited again in the wee hours
Wednesday at hip restaurant the Waverly Inn. (Armstrong was there earlier that
evening with Texas pal
Owen
Wilson
.) The retired cyclist and fashion designer Tory Burch recently broke
up
after a year-long relationship. A rep for Armstrong had no comment.
